Improve your content and learn how to generate new content
To generate more content it is always good to constantly compare keywords and your positioning with that of your competition. You can find out which keywords they have positioned that you don’t have, and vice versa, by pressing the “-” symbol when you compare domains.
By getting the information of your competitors’ keywords with more CPC levels, you will be able to know whether to use them or not according to your level of authority on the web. These are the most profitable words, so it’s normal that they are the most competitive. If you’re still starting to position your page, it’s best to start working on keywords that have less competition for the new content, as they will be easier to position.
Instead, by using the “+” symbol between domains, and you will use the filters of fewer searches and that include certain terms. This way you will know which words have less competition, and you will be able to modify the content you already have, which is not so well positioned.
Discover your competition’s most successful content
There is a fairly simple way to compare the positioning of your content with that of your competition, and that you can observe those entries where they share keywords and the reception they have had on the web. You only need to add your domain name and up to four pages of competition.

Also if it has suffered a dramatic decrease in its level of visits can be a strong indicator that it is a page that probably does not suit you much.
Analyze your competition’s links
Although SEMrush is not as strong for tracking and analyzing backlinks, it can be very useful when doing general analysis of them. Just enter the URL of your competitors, and you will get a complete overview of the links in the “backlinks” section.
Here you will be able to see many details such as what type of links it has, which countries they are from, how many are nofollow, the TDLs that link them, the inbound links, the domains that bind them and even the IP addresses. Several of these are accessible from a full report.
